I think that there will be plenty of journalism done on the internet in the future. But it will be done on a smaller scale - more local, except for a few national or international publications that focus on politics, business or sports. And those will be niche publications. In the future all publications, print or net, will be niche. Because it goes to the first rule of journalism - who cares?
