Thanks for the shout-out!
Your post got me thinking: The opportunity for newspapers is to do analysis -- not hey, we were at the meeting type of journalism (which too often is the case).
I'll use my own neighborhood in Brooklyn as an example. There is a lot going on regarding the Super Fund status of the Gowanus canal. While I'm not too interested in local meetings, I would love an in-depth analysis of how Super Fund status would affect my living situation.
Why don't you post the answers, tough guy?
Then let's see how many other copy editors do the same thing. I doubt very many have the guts to do so.
And even if they do, it's WAY TOO LATE in the game for this stuff.
